IFRW Fall Convention

2020 Idaho Federation of Republican Women Biennial Convention via Zoom

We had hoped to celebrate 100 years of women’s suffrage in person with the Canyon County Republican Women in Nampa.  Given the rise in COVID in the Treasure Valley, the Executive Board of the IFRW moved to conduct the meeting via Zoom rather than gather in person.  This has occurred at the national level and in several state organizations.  President Janalee Woolf consulted with the NFRW and Dr. Linda Lee Tarver to set up a system whereby all 500+ members of the IFRW can attend.  We are taking lemons and transforming them into delicious lemonade – because we are resilient!

The convention will begin at 10 a.m. with messages from elected officials, training and a filmed presentation of Women Suffrage Pioneers, written and produced by Canyon County’s Shirlayne Corder and Tracey Wasden.

Around 12:15, voting delegates of the IFRW will conduct the business of the convention.  Dr. Linda Lee Tarver will provide an alternate session for those who are not voting members.  At the conclusion of the business meeting, the two groups will again gather for the announcement of the 2021-2022 officers and their installation.
